Golden Ticket Giveaway Sweepstakes

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE SWEEPSTAKES. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR OTHERWISE RESTRICTED BY LAW. YOU HAVE NOT YET WON. 

1. SPONSOR: National Entertainment Network, Inc. (“NEN”), with a principal place of business at 246 S. Taylor Ve, Suite 200, Louisville, CO 80027. (303-444-2559); support@sugarloafgames.com

2. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 a.m. on May 21, 2024, Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. PT on June 31, 2024 (the “Sweepstakes’ Period”).  The clock on Sponsor’s email server for email entries is the official timekeeping device for this Sweepstakes.

3. ELIGIBILITY: The Golden Ticket Giveaway Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is only open to legal U.S. residents of California who are 18 years of age or older at the time they enter into the Sweepstakes.  Proof of age and identity must be furnished upon request.   Eligibility is subject to a contestants’ compliance with the rules and conditions outlined within these Official Rules and is subject to all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.  This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited.  To be eligible to obtain a Sweepstakes’ prize, an individual must have effectively entered the Sweepstakes before obtaining a prize, as referenced under the “How to Enter” and “Restrictions, Limitations, and Conditions” sections.  Any Sweepstakes’ related prize that is obtained by someone that did not enter the Sweepstakes prior to the receipt of said prize, or that is obtained after the Sweepstakes’ Period ends, is void upon receipt, as referenced under the “How to Enter” and “Restrictions, Limitations, and Conditions” sections.  Entrants and potential entrants acknowledge that Sponsor is not liable for reimbursement of any prizes otherwise payable to Sweepstakes prizewinners who are in violation of these Official Rules or applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.  Employees  of Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”), and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees, are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes.  

4.  HOW TO ENTER: To enter the Sweepstakes, which is a requirement to qualify to win a Sweepstakes’ prize, an individual must, during the Sweepstakes’ Period:

                a. In regard to an email or QR Code received from Sponsor concerning the Sweepstakes, register via the corresponding link to be entered into the Sweepstakes, which will entitle the individual to one (1) “free play” QR code (“Free Play QR Code”); or

                b. Register by mailing a stamped, self-addressed postcard via USPS to “NEN Golden Ticket Giveaway” at the Sponsor’s address listed above and Sponsor will mail the entrant, via USPS, one (1) Free Play QR Code.   

 

No purchase is necessary to enter the Sweepstakes or obtain a Free Play QR Code.   Registered entrants may obtain additional Free Play QR Codes by mailing a stamped, self-addressed postcard via USPS to “NEN Golden Ticket Giveaway” at the Sponsor’s address listed above and Sponsor will mail the entrant, via USPS, one (1) additional Free Play QR Code.   Individuals are permitted up to one (1) additional Free Play QR Code per week via the alternate mail-in method.   Sponsor will also provide all registered entrants with one (1) additional Free Play QR Code per week via email.   Additional Free Play QR Codes located within one (1) of the thirty-eight (38) participating machines (“Participating Machines”) may also be used by registered entrants. All Participating Machines are located in California – a list of Participating Machines can be found here.   

Participating Machines can be operated through a Free Play QR Code or other means. Registered entrants must play the Participating Machines to win a plus toy with a Golden Ticket Tag.  Plush toys with a Golden Ticket Tag may be hidden from view by other plush toys or because of how it is situated in the Participating Machine, and plush toys with Golden Ticket Tags may already have been won at the Participating Machine.

5. PRIZES: 

  • “Grand Prize” = one (1) $200.00 value Albertsons’ digital gift card.

The Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Albertsons Companies, Inc. and/or any of its affiliates, subsidiaries, or assigns.

There are a total of twenty-five (25) Grand Prizes in the Sweepstakes, in aggregate, which Sponsor must award to eligible prizewinners as part of this Sweepstakes.  The Grand Prize is limited to one (1) per person per household, as referenced within the “Restrictions, Limitations, and Conditions” section.  Each Grand Prize has an actual retail value of $200.00 each, with the aggregate total Grand Prize pool having a total actual retail value of $5,000.00.  

To win a Grand Prize, a contestant must obtain a winning Golden Ticket Tag that has the Grand Prize QR code (“Grand Prize QR Code”) and satisfy the rules and conditions within these Official Rules.  

6. ODDS: Three (3) plush toys, each with one Golden Ticket Tag, will be placed one (1) time in each Participating Machine.  Twenty-five (25) of those Golden Ticket Tags will contain a Grand Prize QR Code and the remaining eighty-nine (89) Golden Ticket Tags will contain one (1) Free Play QR Code.  The twenty-five (25) Grand Prize QR Codes will be placed randomly in the Participating Machines during the Sweepstakes Period.  Based upon a Participating Machine list of thirty-eight (38) machines, each containing three (3) plush with Golden Ticket tags, the contestants’ odds/chance of selecting a Grand Prize from among the total available Golden Ticket Tags are 25 in 114, which is subject to change as Grand Prizes are awarded to prizewinners during the Sweepstakes.   The odds of selecting a plush toy with a Golden Ticket Tag depend on the number of plush toys available in the Participating Machines at any given time.

7. RESTRICTIONS, LIMITATIONS, AND CONDITIONS: 

Limit of one (1) prize per person per household.  No more than the stated aggregate number of twenty-five (25) prizes will be awarded.  Prizes are not transferable and may not be redeemed in cash.  Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any prize for an item of equal or greater value or cash or a cash equivalent to the retail value of the prize in the event that an offered prize becomes unavailable for any reason.  Sponsor may also provide the prizewinner with a document evidencing the prizewinner’s unconditional right to receive the prize they won if the prize becomes unavailable for any reason.  Prizewinners are responsible for all costs and expenses associated with the prize acceptance and use, not specifically provided herein, such as but not limited to, local, state, and federal taxes and any activation charges, costs, or fees.   By accepting a prize, each prizewinner agrees to self-report the prizewinner’s prize earnings to the Internal Revenue Service, as required by law.  If a prize has a value of $600 or more, Sponsor will issue the prizewinner a Form 1099 as required by the Internal Revenue Code.  There are no shipping and handling costs associated with the prize as it is provided via electronic means.  Prizewinners will not receive compensation from the Sponsor for prizes the prizewinner is unable to use for any reason.  

8. SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: Prizewinners will be selected by chance based on obtaining one of the randomly placed Grand Prize QR Codes from a Participating Machine.  Prizewinners will be notified that they won immediately upon scanning a Grand Prize QR Code.  The prize will be submitted to the prizewinner via the email that they provided when they registered for the Sweepstakes.   Sponsor shall have no liability for the prizewinner’s failure to receive winning notices due to spam, junk email, or other security settings or for the prizewinner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information.  If an email to a prizewinner’s email is returned as undeliverable, the participant is ineligible pursuant to these Official Rules, or a prizewinner declines a prize, that prize will become void.  Prizewinners may forfeit a prize if they fail to respond to a prizewinner notification within 3 days.  

Receipt by a prizewinner of the prize offered in this Sweepstakes is conditioned upon compliance with these Official Rules and all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.  All potential prizewinners are subject to verification, including, but not limited to, verification of age and residency.  Sponsor may provide prize winner an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release which they must sign and return to Sponsor within 7 days following the date of first attempted notification in order to confirm eligibility.  Failure to comply with this deadline may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate prizewinner if time permits, at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.  All properly claimed prizes will be awarded.  Once a plush toy containing a Grand Prize QR Code has been won from a Participating Machine, no additional plush containing a Grand Prize QR Code will be placed in that Participating Machine, whether or not the person winning that plush toy has claimed the Grand Prize or not.

ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY A PRIZEWINNER (AT SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN THAT PRIZEWINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS A WINNER OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, AND ALL OF THAT PERSON’S PRIVILEGES AS A PRIZEWINNER WILL BE TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY UPON WRITTEN NOTICE OF SUCH VIOLATION. 

9. PUBLICITY: By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants grant Sponsor the irrevocable right and permission to use their name and any submissions provided as part of the entry process (the "Submission") for promotional purposes, including but not limited to advertising, marketing, and publicity purposes, without further permission, notice, or compensation, unless prohibited by law.

10. PRIVACY POLICY: Any personally identifiable information collected from an entrant during participation in the Sweepstakes will be used by Sponsor to administer the Sweepstakes and in accordance with all applicable laws and the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, as stated at sugarloafgames.com/privacypolicy.

11. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS: By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants and prizewinners agree that they have read and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and that the decisions of the Sponsor are final, non-negotiable and binding in all respects and not subject to appeal, and represent and warrant that they are in compliance with these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and that they are not prohibited from participating in the Sweepstakes.  In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, any related abbreviated rules or other statements contained in any Sweepstakes-related materials, including, but not limited to: any entry form, landing webpage, Golden Ticket Tag, email, point-of-sale material, or television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall govern.  By submitting an entry, all entrants and prizewinners agree that the submitted entries are the property of the Sponsor.  Sponsor may amend or modify the Official Rules at any time to clarify the rules or correct any errors or typos.  All federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations apply.  Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify permanently from this Sweepstakes any entrant it reasonably believes has violated these Official Rules and verify eligibility of entrants or require potential prizewinners to sign and return to Sponsor an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release.  Neither Sponsor nor anyone acting on its behalf will enter any communications with any entrant regarding this Sweepstakes, except as expressly set forth in these Official Rules.  Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes.  All Sweepstakes materials are subject to verification and are void if (i) not obtained in accordance with these Official Rules and through legitimate channels, (ii) any part is counterfeited, altered, defective, damaged, illegible, reproduced, tampered with, mutilated, or irregular in any way, (iii) are obtained where prohibited, or (iv) they contain printing, typographical, mechanical, or other errors.  Entrants assume all risk of loss, damage, destruction, delay, or misdirection of Sweepstakes materials submitted to Sponsor.  In the event any portion of this Sweepstakes is compromised by activities beyond the control of the Sponsor which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the Sweepstakes or this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to modify, suspend, or terminate the Sweepstakes.  Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other entrants, Sponsor, or any other affiliated promotional entities or is not eligible to participate.  If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not able to be conducted as planned, including, but not limited to, by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, then Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and randomly draw from those entries received up to the cancellation/suspension date to award prizes.  In the event that production, technical, seeding, programming, or any other reasons cause more than the stated number of prizes as set forth in these Official Rules to be available and/or claimed, Sponsor reserves the right, if permitted under applicable law, to award only the stated number of prizes by a random drawing among all legitimate, un-awarded, eligible prize claims. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. SPONSOR’S FAILURE TO ENFORCE ANY TERM OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER OF THESE PROVISIONS.

12. RELEASE OF LIABILITY/INDEMNIFICATION: By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants and prizewinners agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claims made by any entrant, prize winner, or any other third parties, related in any way to the operation of this Sweepstakes as well as any other claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from receipt, acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of a prize or participation in any promotion related activity or participation in this Sweepstakes.  Sponsor is not liable for entries not received in a timely manner.

13. DISPUTES: This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of California.  Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees: (i) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the federal or state courts in California; (ii) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, excluding attorneys’ fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain an award for, and each entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses.  All claims or disputes related to or involving these Official Rules and/or this Sweepstakes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than California.

14. OFFICIAL RULES AND WINNERS LIST: For a copy of the Official rules or (after the Sweepstakes  Period ends) any legally required winners’ list, please send an email to: support@sugarloafgames.com, under the subject line Golden Ticket Giveaway Sweepstakes “Official Rules” or “Winners’ List” Request, as applicable.  Requests must be received by no later than 9:00 a.m. on January 1, 2025.
